a pancake stack

Nine year old Bambam sat on that white kitchen floor, her mind made up. She wanted to go to the pancake breakfast.

And if she couldn’t? ….Well then no one gets to be where they need to be. She could hear her mother getting her brothers ready to leave and sending warnings her way. She knew that her mother was not to be trifled with, but still she’d do it.

Why not? Whats the worst she could do?

As Bambam processed this weak convincing her mother stormed up to her and she braced herself. To her shock her mother knelt down beside her and looked at her.

“You really want to go to pancake breakfast?” inquired Bella.

Bambam raised her eyes to meet her mothers and saw she wasn’t mad, not even a trace of annoyance. Shocked Bambam nodded.

“Okay then, get your stuff, lets go.” Her mother sighed and smirked at her.

She moved away and yelled for Bambam’s brothers. Bambam looked at her mom as she walked behind her andrealized her mother had actually saw her this time. Before she could expand on that her brother Beau said something entirely ridiculous and distracted her mind.

They exited the house and crossed the street towards their school taking another step the journey in the tale of Bambam the Brave
