She was in such a dark place. The inky blackness encompassed every part of her existence. it soaked into her skin, the weight felt in every pour of her skin. It. tainted everything she saw giving it all this underlying shadow that made even the things she loved doing off putting.
She was so lost, so tired. Her body always ached, the sun hurt her skin, her insides were constantly in knots. Everything hurt and she couldn’t find the words let alone tell her mother.
How far she had fallen from who she was. Lost in her body.
Liquor numbed it. She couldn’t feel her bones when she drank. She couldn’t FEEL and that was wonderful. Her mind shut up and her body numbed.
And for a brief moment she felt what she thought was the closest to peace she would ever get.
