Perfect Parts

Everyone has those things that at one point you realize that they have always been in your life and all of a sudden they inherit this nostalgic importance and you love them more than you expected.

Shakey Graves was one of Bambam’s.

She had grown up with music, it was everywhere in her life. Thanks to her mother there was soudtrack for almost every phase and moment. She wasnt mad at it. Every once in a while she got a little flashback.

THIS one though, was very important, Her mother loved Shakey Graves and Bambam could barely remeber a moment without hearing his voice at least once a day. He reminded her of her mother, a simple guitar string twang in the right cord and she could smell her mothers perfume and feel her hair in her face.

The opening lyrics of certain songs Bambam was back in the car, sun on her face, listening to her mom sing, and boy did she love hearing her mother sing. The verses of certain Shakey Graves songs and Bambam would be in the her mothers living room watching her dance with Ella and Bear singing to her sibings and herself.

Obviously Bambam jumped on the chance to go see him live when her mother offered. It was fucking amazing, he sounded the exact same live and he was witty and hilarious when he spoke between songs and she knew most of the songs and all the words.

The part that would stay in her head for the rest of her life was when he started ths last song of the night.

“PERFECT PARTS” Her mothers favourite song.

The way her mom’s face lit up, how she was so fiucking pumped and exclaimed “I fucking knew he would asave this for last, god I love that guy” she laughed.

How they sang that whole song together and the way that felt like Bambam was exactly where she was meant to be.

That was a great night to be present in the Tale Of Bambam The Brave.
